The Kentucky Public Pension Coalition hosted a panel of experts on Wednesday, January 30th at 3:30 PM in Room 171 Capitol Annex to discuss Pew’s dangerous pension proposals, the role that public pensions play in the local economy, and the state of retirement security. The panel intended to educate legislators on the truth about Kentucky’s public pension system, and counter many of the myths and inaccuracies that exist about pubic pensions.
Jason Bailey, Director of the Kentucky Center for Economic Policy (KCEP), a non-partisan organization that conducts research and education on important policy issues facing the Commonwealth.
Diane Oakley, Executive Director of the National Institute on Retirement Security, a non-profit research and education organization established to contribute to informed policy making by fostering a deep understanding of the value of retirement security to employees, employers, and the economy as a whole.
Ross Eisenbrey, Vice President of the Economic Policy Institute, a non-profit, non-partisan think tank created in 1986 to broaden discussions about economic policy to include the needs of low- and middle-income workers.
